Coach Joe Private Lesson
Coach Joe has spent many years in the sport of volleyball. He started his love for the game in 1991 during his last year of high school. He attended Texas Tech University shortly after graduating and trained specifically in the sport. Joe went on to try out and play for the men’s Texas Tech University Volleyball Team beginning in 1992. Joe played every year of his college career, primarily as a defensive specialist. He has played on multiple top 25 collegiate volleyball teams while playing for Texas Tech University. In addition, he has numerous outdoor and indoor championships under his belt. While in college, Joe also extended his knowledge of the game by taking multiple courses in the sport of volleyball. Coach Joe has played at many different levels and different types of volleyball including indoor court, outdoor grass, and outdoor sand.
Coach Joe became involved in youth sports as soon as his children began participating. He has coached many sports and has held various coaching certifications. He has been uniquely trained to work with youth, having spent some years working with at-risk youth as a houseparent at Boles Children's Home. Joe became involved in volleyball coaching about 8 years ago. In 2011, Joe saw a need in the area and decided to give back to the community by opening Blast Volleyball Club. He served as both a coach and as a program/club director. Coach Joe has coached top teams at 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18’s age groups. Coach Joe's teams have enjoyed great success with many gold bracket championships. He has led multiple teams to the regional championships. Coach Joe has coached many players that have gone on to play at the collegiate level. Coach Joe spends his non-volleyball time with his wife of 27 years and their 5 children.
